Romania intends to actively work on expanding the presence of foreign troops in connection with what is happening to the east of the country.
This statement was made on Saturday, August 15, by the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, speaking at the solemn event on the occasion of the Day of the Naval Forces.
“The development of events east of Romania and its position on the external border of the EU and NATO require more activity from Romania”, – he said.
“We will continue our efforts to develop national defense capabilities and increase the presence of allies in NATO structures in Romania”.
