President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko intends to discuss what is happening in the country with employees of one of the enterprises and urged other statesmen to do the same.
This was reported by the BelTA agency.
Earlier it became known that the instigators of the coup in Belarus tried to provoke strikes at large enterprises in the country. In particular, they tried to push employees of the Minsk Metro, the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant, the Minsk Motor Plant, etc. to protests.
According to Lukashenko, if workers paralyze production, they will achieve nothing but the loss of their own enterprises.
“They will not recover further, but we understand that very well. Therefore, let the leaders deal with their teams. If you need our help or work collectives ask you to visit there, do not refuse. We have to go to work collectives, answer their questions”, – the president said.
He also noted that he himself intends to go to the employees of the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant. The visit is scheduled for Monday.
Attempted coup in Belarus
On Sunday, August 9, presidential elections were held in Belarus, following which Alexander Lukashenko won. Western countries, for which the Belarusian leader had been a hindrance for a long time, did not put up with the voting results. As a result, pre-planned riots broke out in Belarus.
Attempts by law enforcement officers to keep the situation under control turned into clashes with radicals. At the same time, the Western media, actively covering the protests, focus specifically on the actions of the security forces against the “peaceful” protesters, as was the case during the coup d’état in Ukraine in 2014.
At the moment, European countries, together with the United States, are on the side of the protesters. They refuse to recognize the election results. The headquarters of Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, the leader of the pro-Western opposition, had previously announced that they were preparing for prolonged protests aimed at overthrowing the government. Tikhanovskaya herself left for Lithuania.
