The British authorities have announced the continued easing of quarantine in the country after a pause

At the same time, penalties for violations of existing restrictions are increased.

The UK authorities have announced that they will begin to further relax the quarantine measures introduced to counter the spread of the new coronavirus, after a forced pause caused by a growing number of infections. The statement is posted on Thursday on the website of the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s office.

“Today we can announce some further changes that will allow more people to go back to work and to the things they have missed”, –  Johnson said in a statement. At the same time, the prime minister said that, if necessary, the authorities are always ready to pause the quarantine process again or to introduce local measures to curb certain outbreaks of disease.

The message says that, due to the stabilization of the situation with the increase in the number of infected people, from Saturday, 15 August, the theatres, music and concert halls, which are located in closed rooms, will be able to open, but with the observance of strict rules of social distance. Casinos, skating rinks and bowling clubs will also be reopened, and beauty salons will be allowed to provide all types of services while respecting sanitary requirements. In addition, a small number of spectators will be allowed to attend some sporting events as a test procedure.

At the same time, penalties for violations of existing restrictions will be increased. Thus, fines for those who have repeatedly violated the mask regime will be doubled up to £3.2 thousand (about $4.2 thousand), while new penalties will be introduced for those who organize parties and other events with 30 or more visitors.
