Poland is counting on Russia to contribute to the attempts of the West to carry out a coup d’etat in Belarus.
Such a statement on Thursday, August 13, was made by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Pavel Jablonski in an interview with the Sky News TV channel.
According to him, the riots in Belarus are “the most serious crisis” near the borders of the European Union in recent years. Ignoring the results of the presidential elections, Jablonski says that the citizens of the country must “make their own decisions.” At the same time, the official claims that Belarusians “need help” to resolve the crisis.
He drew attention to the fact that even in attempts to overthrow Alexander Lukashenko, the West will have to take into account Moscow’s position.
“We realize that it is impossible to solve this crisis by ignoring Russia, since Russia shows that it has interests in neighboring countries and therefore any real solution must take this into account,” Jablonski said.
