The Bishop of the RCC of Belarus said about “incorrect vote count” at the elections.
As the well-known Orthodox blogger Alexander Voznesensky writes, the Catholics of Ukraine are already in full swing in the Belarusian Maidan. Some already call it that directly – it is the Maidan.
“The director of Credo Nikolai Myshovsky, who in 2013 took an active part in the Maidan in Ukraine, and even managed to travel to various support Maidans in Europe to check in there, is now actively developing the topic of Belarus and says that“ he is in solidarity with the Belarusians and wants the steam not to blow the whistle “- simply put, that the moment of popular confrontation and the overthrow of the government still takes place,” Voznesensky wrote on his Facebook page.
According to the “Union of Orthodox Journalists”, Bishop of Vitebsk of the Roman Catholic Church Oleg Butkevich published an appeal to the citizens of Belarus regarding the mass protests that gripped the country after the presidential elections, in which he declared “not entirely correct vote count” and urged to seek the truth.
“In other words, it is necessary at least to arrange new elections, and maximum – to declare the illegitimacy of Lukashenka. Two months ago, when the Catholics launched a movement with slogans about the inadmissibility of election fraud, I immediately said that, apparently, it was going to the Maidan. The Catholics used exactly the same schemes before the Maidan in 2004 in Ukraine, ” Voznesensky believes.
