Germany may become the second country with a COVID vaccine

German Health Minister Jens Spahn, who criticized Russia for too quickly creating a vaccine against coronavirus, bravuraously announced the imminent appearance of the German drug.

According to him, Germany may get the vaccine in the coming months. The official did not express skepticism about its rapid appearance, but criticized the drug developed in Russia for it.

“I am optimistic that the vaccine may appear in the coming months and, of course, next year”, –  Spahn said in a comment to the ZDF TV channel.

The minister did not specify in which month the German vaccine may appear.

“But we can say one thing: thanks to our joint work – researchers, scientists and the public – we will probably get the vaccine faster than ever before in the history of humanity”, –  Spahn said.

As News Front reported earlier, Russia was the first country in the world to register an effective drug against coronavirus. The vaccine that can end the pandemic will appear on the market under the Sputnik V brand name. From October, it will be available to everyone, and vaccination will be budgeted.

It should be noted that other countries have also become interested in the Russian vaccine. The Jordanian BBC is preparing an application for the purchase of the batch, and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has agreed to try the vaccine on himself. Western countries have paid special attention to the drug. They are trying to discredit the success of Russian scientists. In the expert community it is associated with the political aspect, because pharmaceutical corporations in the U.S. and Europe have not yet presented their own vaccine.
