Lebanese government resigns amid protests

The Lebanese government has resigned. This was announced by the Minister of Health of the Republic.

Thus, the Lebanese authorities will fulfill one of the requirements of local residents, who have been attending rallies since Friday, which escalated into mass clashes.

The demonstrators threw stones and firecrackers at the police, in response they threw tear gas grenades at them.

On Friday, protesters seized the buildings of four ministries, but the army managed to force them out of government complexes.

As a result of the riots, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a member of the security forces was killed, more than 700 people were injured.
