One in three employers in the UK has announced plans to cut jobs in the third quarter, EA Daily reports.
The measure could be taken against the background of the gradual termination of the scheme, which provides for sending workers on unpaid leave.
“We expect the number of cuts to increase this fall, especially in the private sector, once the scheme is discontinued”, – said Gervin Davis, senior consultant at the Institute for Personnel and Human Resources Development on the labour market.
The study highlights that 33 percent of companies have announced layoffs and another 8 percent more in the private sector.
Earlier Radio Sputnik reported that the Russian ambassador spoke about the prospects for improving relations with London.
