NATO week in Serbia: Alliance was declared a threat to the republic

For the eighth time in a row, Belgrade has hosted representatives of the military bloc, which two decades ago bombed Serbian cities with depleted uranium shells. In this regard, the organizers of the forum have already been branded as “foreign mercenaries”.

Vojislav Seselj, leader of the Serbian Radical Party, called the North Atlantic Alliance “an aggressor and a criminal”. He also stressed that his party is ready to show the Serbs how much harm NATO brings.

“We will continue to show the Serbian people how criminal the alliance is and how much damage it caused, above all, the Serbian people, because it existed for fifty years exclusively to bomb Serbia. Twenty years later, it no longer knows why it still exists, but continues to pose a threat to Serbia”, – Seselj said.

Earlier, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic also stated that NATO will have to come to terms with the country’s military neutrality.

“I would like to note once again that the policy of the country’s military neutrality is not questioned for a moment in Serbia. It is the fundamental and well-known position with which NATO, the members of the alliance, its partners and other countries must reckon, as we consider the choice in favor of NATO of our neighbors”, – the diplomat said.

It should be noted that the list of organizers of NATO Week in Belgrade includes the Open Society Foundation of George Soros, the Rockefeller Brothers Foundation, the US National Endowment for Democracy, as well as the embassies of the Netherlands, Norway and the United States.
