Western, and, above all, American media, are vigorously discussing the capabilities of the latest Russian weapons. And they frighten the public by the fact that it is impossible to defend against it. There is often a lot of money behind this panic.
Recently, the United States equipped one of its fighters with a hypersonic launcher. This immediately became the subject of discussion in the media and speculation that Washington followed in the footsteps of Russia, which did it earlier. That is, he took up a banal copying.
The upgraded supersonic MiG-31 and the Tu-22M3 bomber are known to be capable of launching highly maneuverable and ultra-fast missiles “Dagger”. Further, journalists complain that the American defense systems are unable to shoot them down. And they talk about the fact that the United States is trying to catch up with the Russian Federation with its Zircon ship-based missile and the Avangard hypersonic gliding warhead, to repeat its experience.
For the second year in a row, similar weapons have been tested in the United States. Time-tested aircraft are being re-equipped for new tasks.
In fact, the idea of weapons inaccessible for destruction by the enemy, including those launched from aircraft, has been known to the world since the middle of the last century. Another issue is that not all countries are equally advanced in this issue.
Russia, according to Moscow, has created samples that are invulnerable to air defense and missile defense systems of other countries. However, the United States and China are actively developing hypersonic weapons. And far from all information about the results of this work is available to a wide audience for obvious reasons of secrecy. But some of the details can be found in the public domain.
In addition, taking into account the colossal scientific, industrial and financial potential of these countries, as well as their huge military budgets and focus on the latest weapons, it becomes obvious that the panic in the United States can be, among other things, artificial and synthetic.
This kind of alarmist publications is often backed by a military lobby interested in increasing state allocations for the defense industry. And this is truly cosmic money. However, this version by no means refutes the fact that Russia and China itself possess weapons that American generals dream of in the form of nightmares.
