The head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, said that the Rocket Forces will receive new equipment faster than planned.
“The re-equipment of the Strategic Missile Forces with modern strategic complexes is going ahead of schedule”, – he said.
The commander of the Strategic Missile Forces Sergei Karakaev spoke about the pace of rearmament for Shoigu.
Last year, the troops received 100 new basic types of weapons and military equipment. The same amount will be received this year. Thus, the share of modern weapons in the Strategic Missile Forces will be 81%.
