The United States is trying very hard to do everything for Nicolas Maduro to leave the post of President of Venezuela. This was openly stated by the American special envoy for Venezuela Elliott Abrams, speaking in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee of the Congress.
“Without a doubt, we hope that he does not survive this year (as president), we are working hard to make it so,” he said.
In addition, Abrams, in fact, even told what exactly the States want to do to force Maduro to relinquish the leadership of Venezuela. Their plans include protests, sanctions and the continuation of attempts to embroil Iran and Venezuela.
“We are open for negotiations regarding his departure from power: whether he wants to stay in Venezuela, whether he wants to leave Venezuela, what will happen with the sanctions. But we will not have negotiations to keep him in power, ” added Abrams.
Washington, as always, takes on a lot. Why did the Americans decide that they have the right to decide whether the legally elected president of another country will remain in office or not?
