The number of detected cases of new type of coronavirus infection in the U.S. has increased by 57.5 thousand in the last 24 hours, more than 1.3 thousand people died, reports Johns Hopkins University, which summarizes data from federal and local authorities, as well as the media and other public sources.
According to the university, for the last 24 hours doctors in the U.S. recorded 57,540 new cases of infection, 1,399 more people died with confirmed COVID-19.
The previous day these figures were 45,368 and 540 respectively.
For all time in the USA there were 4 771 519 infections and 156 839 deaths. Over 1.5 million people have recovered from the infection.
Worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University, more than 18.5 million people were infected with coronavirus, more than 700 thousand patients with COVID-19 died.
