As “RuBaltik” reports with reference to LRT, the head of the Lithuanian military department Raimundas Karoblis said that the Lithuanian Defense Ministry decided to build a new military training ground in the west of the country. Orientation towards the western part of Lithuania is associated with its proximity to the Kaliningrad region.

“Russia is strengthening its military positions in the exclave. Lithuanian bases are mainly located in the central and eastern parts of the country, ” Karoblis said.
