The American side continues to make empty statements that it wants to conclude an arms control agreement with China and Russia.
This was once again said by the adviser to the President of the United States for national security Robert O’Brien in his article in The Washington Post.
“In June, the United States began negotiations with Russia on a new START treaty. The United States is cautiously optimistic that we can reach an agreement with Moscow and China on an arms control framework that focuses on verifiable limitations on all types of nuclear weapons”, – he wrote.
It would be great if such statements were supported by action. Washington constantly says that it wants to conclude an agreement, but at the same time is making every effort to prevent this from happening.
