The Coordination Group, consisting of the Ministry of Defense, General Staff of the AFU and NATO countries, has developed a draft procedure for institutional audit of professional military education, which meets the requirements of international education standards developed by the European Network for Quality Assurance of Higher Education, as well as the NATO standard.
As reported by the UNN, the director of the Department of Military Education and Science of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Volodymyr Myrnenko said that in Ukraine with the support of the coordination group consisting of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff of the AFU and NATO member countries, have developed a draft order of institutional audit of professional military education. This project will help understand whether the quality of education meets the needs and specifics of the defense forces and Ukraine’s integration into NATO.
“In the context of implementation of the course of Ukraine’s accession to NATO, measures are taken to develop the system of professional military education in Ukraine. The issues of its formation as a component of military education are being implemented with the support of NATO specialists, as well as the implementation of the NATO program (DEEP) Ukraine, – said Mirnenko, – In order to improve efficiency … it is proposed to conduct an institutional audit of the system of professional military education. The task of the audit is to evaluate the organization of educational activities on the introduction and implementation of educational programs, the management process of higher military educational institutions, human resources, educational environment and material resources. Verification of institutions’ compliance with legal requirements, assessment of the degree and correctness of implementation of NATO standards in the military education system”.
