The US administration intends to conclude a new arms control agreement with Russia.
This statement was made by US President Donald Trump during a meeting with Florida officials on the spread of the coronavirus infection COVID-19.
Probably, the head of the White House meant negotiations between Moscow and Washington on the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty or START-3. The agreement expires at the beginning of 2021.
“Today we are working with Russia on a treaty in the field of nonproliferation, nuclear nonproliferation. If we manage to create something like that, that would be great, ”Trump said.
