US appointed special prosecutor for Ukrainian intervention

Investigations into the ties of Ukrainian politicians with the US Democratic Party continue, although Kiev, mired in corruption, provides less reliable information.

This was announced by US Attorney General William Barr, speaking to members of the House Judiciary Committee.

He complained that it is becoming more and more difficult to verify information coming from Ukraine. In this regard, a special prosecutor was appointed in the Prosecutor General’s Office, who will oversee all criminal cases related to Ukraine. The position was taken by Richard Donoghue, former attorney for the Eastern District of New York.

“The Prosecutor of the Eastern District received the right to monitor all cases concerning Ukraine, including new ones. The fact is that we have a problem – Ukraine provides a lot of unreliable information. There is too much corruption”, – Barr explained.

Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudolph Giuliani has already joined Donoghue’s team. Previously, he collected materials on the ties of the Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden with the Ukrainian elites.

As previously reported by News Front, Kiev officials during the presidency of Petro Poroshenko were convicted of interfering in the 2016 American elections. The Democratic Party used them to criticize Donald Trump and promote its own candidate, Hillary Clinton.

In addition, Joe Biden, being the vice president of the United States, demanded that Poroshenko dismiss Viktor Shokin from the post of the prosecutor general of Ukraine. Shokin began checking the financial frauds of Burisma, whose board of directors included the son of an American official, Hunter Biden.

Donald Trump last year initiated an investigation into the scandalous ties. Fearing the consequences, the Democrats decided to divert attention by attempting to impeach the US president.
