A bill providing for new economic sanctions against Ukraine has been submitted to the Russian State Duma for consideration.
The document was developed by the Russian government and is an addition to the set of sanctions adopted in the framework of the presidential decree “On the application of special economic measures in connection with unfriendly actions of Ukraine against citizens and legal entities of the Russian Federation.”
If the draft law is adopted, sanctions will come into force prohibiting the acceptance of funds by the paying agent and making cross-border payments if the recipient is included in the sanctions list.
At the same time, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation will be obliged to submit to the Ministry of Finance reports on the activities of organizations that conduct transactions against persons on the sanctions list.
