“YouTube will go through all the independent media” – Konstantin Knyrik

Repressive events of Youtube video hosting in relation to Russian channels started this spring. Let us remind you that the first “victims” of Youtube policy were channels millionaires of News-Front, Anna-News, Fan-TV, “Crimea 24” and others. Today, July 28, “Two-headed Eagle” also faced the arbitrariness of Western censorship. Head of News Front news agency Konstantin Knyrik told “Dvukhlaviy Orel” how to fight against illegal removal of the “millionaire”.

“Looks like this is just the beginning. Now YouTube will go all over independent, non-state media, taking into account the fact that each of their steps is successful enough and impunity. For example, after the removal we contacted Rospotrebnadzor for their response. But Rospotrebnadzor has demonstrated, in my opinion, a completely toothless position. Their representatives actually withdrew, saying that this is an economic dispute between two legal entities. And they advised to deal with each other”, –  Knyryk said.

He noted that if the Russian government authorities continue to stand idle, it will lead to a blockage of the state media.

“Accordingly, if our official state bodies continue to be inactive in monitoring how censorship is being introduced on our own territory, which, by the way, is prohibited by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, it will lead to the fact that, sooner or later, they will try to start blocking the state Russian media as well. Including those that specifically cover the internal situation in the country”, –  he said.

The head of News Front news agency added that an appeal to the court is being prepared, but he doubted that the court decision will be executed by the defendant (YouTube).

“Of course, we will go to court. The question is different. How will YouTube enforce the court decision if there is no state position in Russia on this issue? Recently, the Supreme Court ruled that all disputes with Facebook of citizens of the Russian Federation may be considered on the territory of the Russian Federation, but with regard to YouTube this decision has not yet been made. The question is, how will the state force these monopolists to comply with Russian legislation in their activities on the territory of our country?” – Konstantin Knyrik asked a question.

He stressed that News Front has repeatedly caught YouTube “playing along with liberal bloggers of all kinds”.

Today the West creates the most comfortable environment for the dissemination of enemy anti-Russian information. At the same time, we have repeatedly caught YouTube on the outspoken playoff of all sorts to liberal bloggers, when they are artificially twisted up views, likes and put in the top. And on channels with patriotic content we have seen the opposite phenomenon: twisting views, likes and throwing us out of the recommended content. Today it is a question not only of News-Front, Tsargrad or the “Two-headed Eagle”. Today it is a matter of state information security!”, concluded Knyrik.
