Venezuelan Foreign Minister reported on the attack of vandals on the consulate in Colombia

According to the Minister, the Colombian administration left the consulate building without security.

The Venezuelan Consulate building, located in the Colombian capital, was looted by vandals. This was reported by Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Jorge Arreaza on Monday.

“We condemn the fact that the Venezuelan Consulate’s headquarters in Bogota was attacked by vandals and completely looted”, –  Arreaza wrote in his Twitter.

According to the Minister, the Colombian administration has violated the Vienna Conventions by leaving the Consulate building without security.

“Colombia must answer [for what happened]”, –  Arreaza stressed.

In February 2019, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced the severance of diplomatic relations with Colombia. This decision was made after the Venezuelan opposition tried to deliver foreign humanitarian aid from Colombian territory.
