Israeli settlers set fire to a mosque near Palestinian Ramallah

Israeli settlers set fire to a mosque in the town of Al-Bira near Ramallah in the West Bank, Wafa News Agency reported.

“Settlers stormed the city at dawn, wrote racist slogans on the interior walls of the mosque and set the building on fire”, –  al-Bira Mayor Azzam Ismail was quoted by the agency as saying.

“This morning, Israeli settlers set fire to a mosque in the town of Al-Bira, leaving the inscription: “Arabs under siege, this land is for Jews”. This is racism and apartheid”, –  Oreikat told.

Hamas spokesman Hazem Kassem spoke to the agency, calling the actions of Israeli settlers barbaric and hostile and disrespectful to other religions and places of worship.
