Heiko Maas, who heads the German foreign ministry, does not want Russia to return to the G7.
According to him, this should not happen until the “Ukrainian question” is resolved. He means Crimea and Donbass.
In addition, Maas remembered Syria and Libya. According to him, the G7 needs Russia to resolve conflicts in these countries:
“We also know that we need Russia to solve problems such as the conflicts in Syria, Libya and Ukraine. This will not work against Russia, but only together with Russia. “
So why then this performance? Crimea has made its choice. As well as Donbass. Questions should be asked to the Kiev authorities. And if Russia’s participation is needed to resolve conflicts, it is enough just to start interacting with it. Moscow will not refuse help and will do everything in its power to stop the bloodshed.
