According to the city’s police department, at least 21 law enforcement officers were injured. Earlier, the local police informed about 25 detainees and three wounded among colleagues.
As previously reported by the police, the demonstrators threw fireworks, stones and bottles at the police. The detainees were mostly charged with assaulting police officers and refusing to obey the demands of the authorities.
During the dispersal of the rioters, special means were used. A low-yield improvised explosive device was allegedly detonated near a police station. One of the walls of the building is damaged.
It is also reported that about ten protesters entered the construction site near the Center for Justice for Children and Family Affairs, where they set fire to portable trailers and other equipment, as well as smashed windows in private cars on the territory and in the court premises.
