LPR announced its readiness to implement additional measures for a ceasefire

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic, the LPR’s plenipotentiary at the talks in Minsk, Vladislav Deinogo, announced the readiness of the republic’s authorities to implement additional measures for an armistice in Donbass, signed during a meeting of the contact group on Wednesday.

The meeting of the contact group was held on Wednesday in video mode. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic said that the contact group for resolving the conflict in Donbass agreed on additional measures to control the ceasefire, which will take effect on July 27. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that additional measures to ensure a truce in Donbass agreed by the contact group should be signed by representatives of the countries participating in the Normandy format (Ukraine, Russia, France, Germany).

“The LPR is responsible for its signatures on additional measures to ensure the ceasefire. We confirm our readiness to ensure the implementation of these measures by orders of the military command, if Ukraine is also ready for this”, – Deinogo said in a statement provided to RIA Novosti.

The ceasefire measures in Donbass include a ban on offensive and sabotage actions, firing, including sniper fire, placing weapons in populated areas, as well as disciplinary liability for violating the ceasefire.
