Two groups of Russian doctors with a total of 67 people arrived in Kyrgyzstan this week. They have already started helping their Kyrgyz colleagues in the fight against COVID-19 in hospitals and temporary hospitals.
To date, the total number of people infected with COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan has reached 31,247. 1,211 people have died. According to the country’s Ministry of Health, the epidemiological situation in the republic remains very difficult. More than ten temporary hospitals have been deployed in the capital and the regions, as hospitals cannot cope with the influx of patients. Due to the lack of medical personnel, the country’s Cabinet of Ministers recalled all medical workers from vacations and attracted senior students of medical universities to the treatment of COVID-19.
