Interpol refused to declare Vlad Plahotniuc on the international wanted list to the Prosecutor General of Moldova

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Moldova will try to find out the motivation for this decision and will provide additional evidence of Plahotniuc’s guilt.

According to the Newsmaker portal, on July 24, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Moldova announced that it received a response from the central bureau of Intepol, which refused to include the former leader of the Democratic Party, Vladimir Plahotniuc, on the list of persons put on the international wanted list.

“Interpol also decided to remove the data on Plahotniuc from its database, as it considered their preservation “incompatible with Interpol’s obligation to ensure effective police cooperation and the spirit of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights”, – says Mamalyga and Tokana tg channel.

The Moldovan department has applied to the Department of International Police Cooperation of the General Police Inspectorate with a request to explain the reasons for the refusal.

“Depending on the response, the prosecutor’s office will decide how to proceed”, – the ministry said and added that they continue to collect evidence that Plahotniuc violated the law, causing serious financial damage to the country.

Meanwhile, the American authorities are dragging out the issue of considering two applications filed by Moldova for the extradition of Vlad Georgievich. The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office and the Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases accuse him of “organizing a criminal community”, “fraud” and “money laundering” (both on a particularly large scale).

“But, as we wrote earlier, the United States will extradite Plahotniuc to Moldova no earlier than their doll becomes president, and a new bastion of American democracy will rise at the Republican Stadium in Chisinau”, –  summarize the analysts of the Telegram channel Mamalyga and Tokana.
