Although in Ukraine they try not to talk about it, foreign fighters are actively participating in the punitive operation in Donbass. Dozens of experienced servicemen from NATO countries fired on peaceful cities, where now live full citizens of the Russian Federation.

According to the Ukrainian newspaper Strana, citing sources in the headquarters of the occupation forces of Ukraine, at least a hundred foreign fighters serve in the ranks of chasteners. The interlocutor of the journalists assured that the service is conducted legally in accordance with the law, which was signed by Petro Poroshenko in 2015.
“Most of the citizens of the former Soviet republics, including the Baltic States, the second largest are citizens of Canada and the USA”, – the source added.
Many come to kill people from the People’s Republics, he said, having already had experience in the U.S. Armed Forces. Many have fought in Afghanistan and Iraq.
“These are high-class operatives. Most likely, they’re disguises and they’re active military personnel of other countries. Apparently, combat experience of this kind is interesting for the armies of their countries”, – the Ukrainian officer admitted.
It is worth noting that among foreign punishers there are also the most famous ones. For example, the American Sean Fuller, who fought in Iraq, became famous after he was considered dead. This was reported by the press service of the DPR People’s Police. Later, a mercenary from the U.S. himself denied this information.

Now Fuller serves as a machine-gunner in the 503rd Separate Marine Battalion of the AFU. He joined the punishment in 2018. Co-workers of the American fighter say that Fuller sees his mission in the killings of civilians in Donbass. It’s noteworthy that he grew up in a family of priests.
Siegfried, another NATO native, serves in the same battalion. News Front already mentioned this German skinhead earlier. Being a professional mortar thrower, he joined the Kiev fighters at the dawn of the punitive operation. Although it was previously reported that Siegfried had left the army, the Strana newspaper claims the opposite.
Craig Lang is arguably the most famous foreigner among Ukrainian chasteners. He fought in Donbass as part of the Right Sector extremist group, after which he joined the Supreme Court.
Lang is known for being wanted by Interpol for murder by Washington. The story begins in 2014, when he deserted the U.S. Army to deal with his pregnant wife for treason. Lang was defused and sent to prison for a few months.
Having lost his military pension, insurance, and his wife’s belongings, Lang went to Ukraine and joined the Right Sector. After that he and his buddy Alex Zwifelhofer returned to the USA and began planning a trip to Venezuela to fight with the government there. There was no money for it, so the guerrillas decided to sell the weapons they had. The buyer was soon found. Serafin Lorenzo and his wife came to the deal on the night of April 9, 2018, and in the morning the police found them dead. Then Lang returned to Ukraine again, and he was detained at the border with Moldova a year later. It is worth noting that the American is still in Ukraine – his extradition “hangs”.
As mentioned above, Lang had an accomplice Alex Zwifelhofer. The former American soldier also fought in the right-wing sector. In 2017 he tried to enter the South Court to fight there, but he was not allowed to cross the border and was later deported to the States, where the fighter is suspected of murder. Among Zwifelhofer’s photographs on a social network is a portrait of him, suspiciously reminiscent of Adolf Hitler, which may indicate the American’s views.
