Political relations between Moscow and London are at or close to freezing, Russian Ambassador to London Andrey Kelin said.
“Relations have been quite difficult recently, but they are not limited to politics. Political relations are indeed, I would say, on the level of freezing or close to it”, – Kelin said in an interview with RBC.

He noted that in the field of economic, cultural, scientific and other links, there was no freeze. According to him, creative initiatives were going on between the countries in these areas until the period of coronavirus pandemic, which affected everything.
“With the easing of restrictions, I think there will be some renewal in these areas of relations”, – said Kelin.-
“Political relations are very different. Here London, not us, insists that they should be close to freezing”.
The diplomat added that the previously published report of the British Parliament’s Intelligence Committee on Russia’s alleged interference in British politics is a very negative signal.
