The positions of Russia and Jordan on the Middle East settlement (STB) coincide, by joint efforts it is possible to find a solution to the Palestinian problem that could satisfy all the parties involved, Russian Ambassador to Amman Gleb Desyatnikov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“Indeed, the approaches of our friendly countries to the second-tier banks are traditionally close and, I would even say, coincide. This largely determines the similarity of the methods that the two states use to help achieve a lasting and just peace in the Middle East, without which it is impossible and settlement of other regional problems”, – Desyatnikov said.
According to the ambassador, Russia and Jordan are constantly and in the “most pressing manner” raising this topic in contacts with all representatives of the world community. The work on activating the Quartet of international mediators continues, “we are open to consideration of any relevant proposals in this regard”, – the diplomat stressed.
