Bloomberg explains why the EU is on the verge of extinction

Recognition of the compromise version of the seven-year budget, which is now so proud of European leaders.

As noted in the media, Europe is doing everything to do this “too little and too late.” This applies to the euro crisis, the migration crisis and the corona crisis too. Such trends give rise to controversy with two opposing claims:

– The EU is “hardened” due to disasters, which leads to permanent integration;

– the EU system is crumbling, which leads to disintegration.

According to Bloomberg, these two processes occur simultaneously and constantly.

“Unfortunately, the creeping changes in the EU seem to be going in the wrong way”, – the article says. Northern and southern EU, or its industrial “core” and “periphery”. It was only a little softened during the bargaining, will not change that.

The European Union. These claims are notorious European values that are not acceptable to all states. An example is Hungary, which “has been leaning towards illiberal authoritarianism for ten years now.” Poland holds a similar view, given that Andrzej Duda “fought a culture war against liberals, cosmopolitans, gays and lesbians in the presidential elections.”

Because of this, Western European leaders even tried to tie the allocation of anti-crisis tranches to compliance with the decisions of the EU’s highest court. However, in the end, this condition was a reflection before a vague promise to return to the topic later.

“This is worth keeping in mind because 27 leaders are now announcing their concrete definition of victory in Brussels. In fact, the EU remains capricious and fragmented”, – writes Bloomberg. – “This means that it remained a failure. Geopolitical Europeans are increasingly becoming vegetarians in a world like China, Russia and the United States. ”

In this regard, it cannot be ruled out that the European Union should become a religion, because evolution is not an improvement towards some “noble ideal” capable of adapting to reality. If the EU fails to adapt, it will become irrelevant on the global stage.
