US imposed sanctions against 11 more Chinese companies

The US authorities accuse them of involvement in serious violations of the rights of ethnic minorities in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR).

As Ukrinform reports with reference to Azerbaijan, the administration of the US President Donald Trump has introduced new restrictive measures against 11 Chinese companies.

“The US government has imposed trade sanctions against 11 companies involved in human rights abuses in China’s northwestern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region”, – the report said.

It is noted that by its decision Washington is trying to increase pressure on Beijing and the Communist Party to abandon mass detentions, forced labor and other violations against Muslim minorities (Uyghurs) in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
