The US has finally put out a fire aboard the USS Bonhomme Richard amphibious assault ship at the San Diego naval base in California.
This was announced by Rear Admiral Philip Sobek, a spokesman for the US Pacific Fleet Command.
The fire lasted four days. Now the fire brigades are inspecting all the premises to make sure that there is no fire left anywhere.
Sobek noted that it is too early to talk about the future of the ship.
