Estonia confirmed that a punisher from the Baltic republic died in the Donbass

This statement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Baltic Republic Urmas Reinsalu.

As previously reported by News Front, on July 13, the Ukrainian occupation troops sent a sabotage group of six people to the DPR. The operation was interrupted when the punishers entered a minefield.

As a result of the detonation of shells, one of the saboteurs died on the spot. Later, as reported in the People’s Militia of the DPR, the body of the second punisher was found. He had an Estonian passport with him.

The Ukrainian side through the media tried to vehemently deny the death of a citizen of a NATO country in the zone of the punitive operation. However, this information was confirmed in Estonia itself.

According to Reinsalu, the deceased arrived in Estonia in 2006 with refugee status. He acquired the citizenship of the republic in 2016, abandoning the Belarusian one. The minister stressed that the authorities are now trying to find out what exactly the Estonian was doing in Donbass from the representatives of the Ukrainian diplomatic service.
