Moscow does not know who hacked British pharmaceutical companies and research centers, the accusations of Great Britain are unacceptable, said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President.
Earlier, the UK Cybersecurity Center said that hackers associated with the Russian special services tried to steal data from Britain, the United States and Canada on the development of a vaccine against coronavirus infection.
“We have no information who could have hacked pharmaceutical companies and research centers in the UK. We can say one thing – Russia has nothing to do with these attempts. We do not accept such accusations, just like the next unfounded accusations of interference in the 2019 elections”, – Peskov told RIA Novosti.
The document states that the Kingdom’s National Cybersecurity Center and the Communications Security Authority of Canada regard APT29 (also known as Dukes and Cozy Bear) as a cyber espionage group. The hackers are said to be “almost certainly part of Russian intelligence agencies”.
