According to Deutsche welle, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, speaking at a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament outlined Berlin’s priorities for the EU presidency. One of them was the completion of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline.
“In relation to this project, we will not now change our decision. We believe that this is a matter of diversifying our sources of energy supplies, ” said the Minister.
