Vucic: no evidence of a “Russian footprint” in Serbian demonstrations

The Russian Foreign Ministry called publications about the “Russian footprint” in the Serbian protests a “stuffing” and “low-profile order,” the sole purpose of which is “to cast a shadow on the Russian-Serbian partnership.

According to Interfax, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on the air of TV Pink, commenting on the publications of some Serbian media on this topic, said that the Serbian authorities have no evidence that Russia is involved in the wave of unrest in Serbia.

“There is not a single proof that the Russians are behind the demonstrations” , – the president said.

To remind, last week, protests against quarantine measures took place in Belgrade and other Serbian cities, which turned into riots on Wednesday and Thursday. In two evenings, 153 people were detained in the country and 118 policemen were injured.
