Turkey called the terms of the cessation of fighting in Libya

The ceasefire is now disadvantageous to the so-called Government of National Accord.

Such a statement on Monday, July 13, was made by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

As News Front previously reported, now the PNS, with the support of Turkey, is preparing an operation to seize the port city of Sirte and the Jufra air base nearby. Sirte is now under the control of the Libyan National Army, Marshal Khalifa Haftar. In this regard, Ankara even sent more than a thousand Tunisian militants to Libya.

Cavusoglu, in turn, assured that an armed conflict can be avoided if Haftar voluntarily surrenders Sirt to the Government of National Accord Faiz Saraj. According to the diplomat, this condition is key in the issue of introducing a ceasefire.
