Voting for the president “split” Poland almost in half.
According to the results of counting 99.69% of the votes of Polish voters, the current president of Poland Andrzej Duda gained 51.21%, his rival Rafal Trzaskowski – 48.79%. It is noteworthy that Duda was mainly supported by older people, while his opponent managed to gain the support of Polish youth.
“The turnout in the election on Sunday was record-breaking for modern Poland, with 68.12%”, – the local CEC said.
Such a split in society, as we know from the example of neighboring Ukraine, does not promise anything good to Poland in the near future.
