This Sunday, the second round of the presidential election is taking place in Poland. The incumbent head of state Andrei Dudu and the opposition leader from the Civil Coalition, the mayor of Warsaw, Rafal Tshaskovsky, are fighting for the country’s top post.
The State Electoral Commission of Poland said that 29.9 million people with the right to vote will be able to take part in the second round of the presidential election, of which 519.5 thousand will vote abroad.
At 7:00 local time (8:00 Moscow time) 27.2 thousand polling stations opened, which will operate until 21:00 (22:00 Moscow time).
The head of the election commission, Sylvester Martsiniak, said the results would be known on Tuesday.
Survey data indicate that the chances of the two candidates are approximately equal.
