The US President Donald Trump is confident that he has good relations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, despite American sanctions.
This statement was made by the head of the White House in an interview with The Washington Post.
Trump emphasized that he considers cooperation on nuclear arms control to be the most important.
“From what we can do, there is nothing more important than nuclear arms control”, – he said, adding that the parties “are trying to work out a nuclear arms treaty that will become significant”.
At the same time, the US president assured that he “has really good relations with Putin”, despite the fact that Washington regularly introduces anti-Russian sanctions.
