According to the Russian senator, the authorities of the three Baltic countries violate not only their international obligations to the OSCE and the Council of Europe, but also the decisions adopted by the European Union.
Well-known Russian political scientist Aleksey Pushkov believes that there is an open war in the Baltic states with an alternative point of view expressed by the Russian media.
“The Reporters Without Borders organization gave a precise definition of the actions of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia in relation to the Russian media, calling them abuse of EU sanctions. The Statement of the Federation Council Commission on Information Policy, as well as the appeals I have submitted to the OSCE and the Council of Europe, emphasize: EU personal sanctions do not apply to the media in which it works or is headed by a person against whom sanctions are imposed. In this case, we are dealing with double abuse, because D. Kiselev is not the head of the RT channel. So the authorities of the three Baltic countries violate not only their international obligations to the OSCE and the Council of Europe, but also the decisions taken by the European Union, and measures against RT were introduced on the basis of knowingly false information”, – Pushkov wrote on his Telegram channel.
