North Korea threatens to avenge Britain for sanctions

The UK government has committed a provocation and will “pay” for it.

This is noted in a statement by the DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs, published on Saturday, July 11.

London previously announced the first unilateral sanctions against North Korea. The DPRK State Security Bureau and the Department of Correctional Services of the Ministry of Public Security were blacklisted. In Britain, they said that departments were responsible for torture and murder in the country’s prisons.

“Britain’s last step is a blatant political conspiracy to join the stream of US hostile policies”, – the communiqué said.

“We strongly condemn and reject the impudence of Great Britain to impose sanctions on the institutions responsible for the security of our country.”
