American plane made reconnaissance flight over Russian bases in Syria

The U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon made another reconnaissance flight off the coast of Syria and the Russian Khmeimim air base there and the Russian Navy’s logistics base at the port of Tartus.

This became known thanks to monitoring data from Western aviation resources.

A patrol anti-submarine plane took off from Sigonella airbase on the Italian island of Sicily, after which it flew for more than an hour off the coastline of Syria. In the area of Russian bases Khmeimim and in Tartus, he approached the Syrian coast at a distance of 50-60 km.

In July, the US naval scouts made at least three flights in the zone above Russian bases in Syria.
