Trump has criticized distance education

U.S. President Donald Trump has once again called for the opening of schools for the upcoming school year and criticized distance learning as “terrible” compared to full-time education.

Schools closed almost all over the US in March, and the vast majority remained closed until the end of the school year. Whether institutions will be opened by the new school year or whether distance learning will continue is still unknown. The decision to open school buildings in the public education system is made at the county level in individual states. Private schools and higher education institutions make their own decisions, but must also act within the framework of existing state rules and requirements. On Tuesday, Trump said he would put pressure on governors to open schools.
