Janine Agnès will be in quarantine for two weeks.
“Given that many [of my team] had a coronavirus in the last week, I did the analysis and it was positive too”, – she said in a video that was posted on her Twitter page.
“I will be in quarantine for two weeks until I get another status check. I feel good”, – she added. According to her, she will continue to act as head of state remotely.
Previously, the disease caused by coronavirus has been confirmed by the Bolivian Minister of Health, Edie Roca, Minister under President Jerko Nunez and Minister of Mines and Metallurgy, Jorge Oropesa. Núñez has been hospitalized and the others are being treated at home.
On March 10, Bolivian authorities reported the first two cases of infection with coronavirus in the country. To date, more than 42 thousand people have been infected, more than 1.5 thousand have died.
