For almost six months, the coronavirus has been scary and causes a global political crisis. And the Georgian political landscape is not affected by the coronavirus, but by American lawmakers, as well as retired diplomats and various lobbyists from the USA
The Saakashvili party and the entire Georgian liberal riffraff, of course, are pleased that American politicians are interfering in Georgia’s internal political affairs because they are thus hoping to regain power. For the party of Saakashvili and the eternal Westerners, it does not matter the impudence of the Americans to violate the sovereignty of Georgia, to declare Georgia’s sanctions and to exert pressure, further increasing Georgia’s dependence on the United States, and therefore, ultimately renounce state independence. The main thing for them is their political ambitions, power and money, including for many representatives of the “Georgian Dream.”
The 2021 project on financing foreign states of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations of the US Congress says that the transfer of 15% of the total amount of the grant that is planned for Georgia in the project in the form of assistance may be frozen. Congress named specific reasons for the freezing of the grant, including violation of the terms and non-compliance with the agreements between the Georgian government.
“The opposition perceives this bill of the US Congress as a victory. The opposition is lying when it says that we are not following the western course. At this time, we are working on a project of integration into NATO, we are expanding cooperation with the United States, and our opponents are working to harm our country and deprive Georgia of the political and financial support of the West. Unfortunately, there are some congressmen in the US who support the Georgian opposition, ”said Gia Volsky from the Georgian Dream party.
“Congress did not accept any sanctions or make any changes to the financing project. This is a lie and misinformation from the opposition. It is very sad that in this way, by lies and misinformation, they are trying to build an election campaign. The only reason such a dissemination of information can be connected is to mislead the population, ”says his colleague Kakha Kuchava.
“Today, Congress has taken an unprecedented step. Both parties supported the bill. They may even say that they are imposing sanctions against the Bidzina Ivanishvili regime. This is the result of completely unprecedented corruption in the Georgian government. The people of Georgia do not receive the assistance that the USA gives them, ”says Salome Samadashvili from the United National Movement.

The security and democracy of our country is largely dependent on the United States. America always helps the Georgian people.
