60,000 cases of COVID-19 infection were detected in the U.S. within 24 hours, reports Johns Hopkins University, which summarizes the data from federal and local authorities, as well as the media and other public sources.


According to the university, in the last 24 hours, the country recorded 60,021 cases of infection, 1195 patients with confirmed coronavirus infection COVID-19 died.

The previous day these figures were 44,953 and 325 respectively.

According to Johns Hopkins University, 2,996,098 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in the USA and over 131 thousand people have died. More than 936,000 of those infected have recovered.

All over the world, as the university reports, have registered more than 11.8 million infected and more than 544 thousand lethal outcomes.
