Over the past four years, Russia has supplied Serbia with Mi-35M and Mi-17V-5 helicopters, MiG-29 fighter jets, as well as Pantsir-C1 air defense systems, said Dmitry Shugaev, director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation.
“Among the completed contracts, I can note the delivery last year of a batch of Mi-17V-5 helicopters, the first batch of which was delivered to Serbia back in 2016. In June 2018, a contract was signed for the supply of Mi-35M helicopters, the equipment was delivered at the end of 2019. Well … “Pantsir-C1” was delivered at the beginning of 2020 “, – Shugaev said in an interview with the Serbian online resource «Voice of Obligations”.
In addition to the delivery itself, in 2019, training was conducted for specialists in the operation and combat use of both the Shell and Mi helicopters.
“This is necessary so that your troops can start working with Russian equipment immediately after it is shipped to Serbia”, – the director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation specified
