At least 11 people were killed in an attack by CODECO’s Combine for the Development of the Congo in Ituri Province, northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). This was reported by the local portal Actualite.
According to the portal, the incident occurred on Saturday, among the victims were passengers of two cars that were sent to the village of Maaga. In total, according to the portal, two soldiers, three police officers and six civilians were killed in the attack.
“There was no battle. The attackers were in the mountains, they aimed at these cars and fired from afar, ” a representative of the DRC armed forces told the portal.
